New Poem: "A Creation Story"
A Creation Story
The rug was fashioned
by hands so skilled
they could weave a tapestry of stars
with just a thread of light;
they could stitch together an island
with a single strand of silk;
they could unfurl a ball of yarn
and raise up a meadow of wildflowers;
they could make a poor man feel rich
when he pads, barefoot,
across his living room floor.
