Short Story: "The Troll on King's Bridge"

There was once a country in such great turmoil that a few citizens decided to move their families into an undeveloped territory located across a great ravine.

The leader of the group, a man named King, had campaigned to reform the way his countrymen treated one another. He appealed for empathy, for compassion, and for equality, but his words were met with much resistance from fellow citizens who preferred to spare their kindness only for those who looked and thought like them.
